Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Data and AI Architect to join our Data & AI Technology group. You will drive architecture, engineering, and analytics initiatives for AEC clients, delivering actionable insights and robust data solutions across the firm.

Lead design of scalable data and AI architectures, collaborate with data scientists and engineers, and guide implementation while staying current with emerging technologies. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5 years of related experience.
• Advanced understanding of data lifecycle: governance, architecture, integration, metadata, quality, security, and operations.
• Strong knowledge of Azure and Databricks platforms and well-architected framework.
• Excellent written and oral communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design architecture for data and AI solutions that are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Engage with business units to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Create architecture and technical design documents for data and AI solutions.
• Scale data and AI solutions across units with clear strategies.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders; stay current with new tools and practices.
