Job summary

Woven by Toyota is seeking an experienced Data Acquisition Engineer to help build large-scale data ingestion, storage, and processing systems for autonomous vehicle programs. You will work on edge filtering, Lakehouse pipelines, and cloud-native architectures using Python, C++, and Java.

You will collaborate with a distributed team across the US, UK, and Japan, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to long-term data strategy for AD/ADAS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 3+ years building data-intensive, concurrent, scalable applications.
• Experience with cloud-based microservice architectures and distributed systems.
• 2+ years writing testable, modular Python code.
• Business-level English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-native data ingestion and storage systems.
• Architect and scale real-time data pipelines in Python and C++.
• Align data ecosystem with AD/ADAS needs.
• Collaborate with Data Infrastructure, SRE, and Vehicle software teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Contribute to long-term data strategy and product roadmaps.
