Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior engineer to lead dam safety and hydropower projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will perform inspections, analyses, and design of hydraulic structures, with travel as needed.

The role requires independent project leadership and collaboration within the HDR employee-owned culture. Required are a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 10 years of experience in relevant fields, and proficiency with MS Office and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• PE license is required.
• Proven leadership and business development skills.
• Experience with dams, water conveyances or related hydropower projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and engineering assessments for dams and hydraulic structures for FERC CAs/PIs or other purposes.
• Conduct analyses, evaluations and designs for hydropower and dam safety projects.
• Lead design of hydraulic structures and related components.
• Prepare contract documents, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams and provide mentorship and QA/QC.
