The Principal Food Scientist, Dairy at Golden State Foods leads strategic dairy product development, turning customer insights into high-quality solutions. You will drive formula optimization, scale-up, and cost-efficiency initiatives to deliver superior performance and operational excellence.

You'll mentor teams, collaborate with Senior R&D Managers, and translate culinary direction into feasible formulas while ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BS in food science or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s or PhD in food science or related field preferred.
• 7-10+ years of food R&D experience with emphasis on dairy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation to develop breakthrough dairy products aligned with business goals.
• Apply best-in-class NPD methodologies for formula renovation and process improvements.
• Mentor and develop talent, collaborating with Senior R&D Managers.
• Support strategic goals and drive cost-saving and scalability initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
