Job summary

Joseph Gallo Farms is seeking a hands-on Senior Capital Project Engineer to lead improvement projects at our Atwater manufacturing site. You will partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and external vendors to deliver work safely, on time and on budget.

The role requires 5+ years in dairy plant engineering, strong knowledge of sanitary design, CIP systems and project management. Competitive benefits apply in a leadership-driven, family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in dairy plant equipment and sanitary engineering.
• Experience with CIP, HTST, and related dairy processing systems preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office for design and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from ideation through design, procurement, installation, commissioning and closeout.
• Develop charters, scopes, ROI analysis, budgets and schedules (Gantt charts).
• Create equipment layouts, PFDs and P&IDs; define specs and RFQs/RFIs; evaluate vendor proposals.
