Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Cybersecurity SOC Senior Associate to lead client-facing SOC readiness and attestation engagements. You will work across ISO 27001/42001, NIST, HITRUST, and IT governance, delivering robust control assessments and practical recommendations.

You will document control environments, manage delivery against budget, and mentor peers while maintaining strong client relationships. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of SOC experience are required, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or Accounting.
• 2+ years of SOC audits or attestation experience with SOC, ISO, ITGCs, or HITRUST.
• Professional certification such as CISA, CPA, ISO 27001/42001 Lead Auditor, or HITRUST CCFSP.
• Strong client-service and relationship-management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead client walkthroughs to understand business needs and document control environments.
• Deliver SOC readiness and attestation engagements with actionable recommendations.
• Drive project execution with planning, quality control, and budget awareness.
• Develop workpapers and contribute to attestation and certification reports.
• Build client relationships with a service-first approach across engagements.
• Collaborate across clients and frameworks, coordinating with offshore resources.
