Job summary

Motion Recruitment seeks a Lead Cybersecurity Program Manager for a fully remote contract in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. The role directs large-scale cybersecurity initiatives across IT, OT, and IoT, partnering with executive leadership and technical teams to strengthen defenses and mitigate risk.

You will oversee governance, risk reporting, and strategic cybersecurity modernization while coordinating across cloud, infrastructure, and third-party risk domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline
• 15+ years of experience overseeing large-scale technology programs or cybersecurity initiatives
• Experience managing cross-functional programs involving cybersecurity, cloud environments, infrastructure, OT, and IoT technologies
• Experience leading RFP processes, vendor assessments, contract negotiations, and SOW development
• Experience coordinating security incident response activities, remediation programs, risk mitigation, and audit-related initiatives
• Understanding of cybersecurity governance, risk frameworks, regulatory compliance, and security controls
• Experience presenting executive briefings and dashboards to leadership
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a complex enterprise
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches

Responsibilities

• Direct enterprise cybersecurity roadmaps and long-term transformation programs
• Develop and maintain governance structures, risk reporting processes, executive communications, and performance tracking
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud services, identity management, application security, third-party risk, and data protection teams
• Lead cybersecurity evaluations, procurement initiatives, vendor selection, and implementation projects
• Coordinate response during security incidents, including remediation planning and recovery
• Manage vulnerability remediation efforts, audit action plans, and risk treatment activities
• Facilitate executive steering meetings and align business and tech stakeholders
• Track budgets, milestones, dependencies, resources, and program performance
• Support compliance readiness programs and security oversight activities
• Champion security awareness and risk-informed decision-making across the enterprise
