Job summary

Defense Information Systems Agency in Oklahoma City seeks a senior IT specialist in the Cyber Excepted Service to support the mission of US Cyber Command. This is a Mission Essential position under CES with duties in the HC/Operations Support Office.

You will apply expert knowledge of enterprise network architecture, WAN/LAN design, and routing/switching, monitor performance, and implement fixes to maintain secure, reliable networks for DoD operations.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating IT systems and ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Experience maintaining relationships with IT customers and tailoring IT products/services to needs.
• Experience briefing stakeholders and IT staff on system status and operations.
• Experience identifying alternatives to address complex IT issues using diverse information sources.

Responsibilities

• Applies expert technical knowledge to enterprise and local network architecture, WAN/LAN design concepts and standards.
• Plans and coordinates systems design, acquisition, testing, installation and support.
• Configures front-end processors, hubs, switches, and routers; monitors network performance; analyzes traffic patterns; applies fixes and upgrades.
• Diagnoses and resolves network problems.
