Job summary

Reynolds American, part of the British American Tobacco Group, seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Manager in Winston-Salem to lead the Cyber Resilience Team and strengthen security across BAT. You will report to the Regional Information Security Officer and work with IT and business functions to support vulnerability remediation and new technology projects.

The role emphasizes secure architecture, governance, incident response, and global cyber initiatives, with opportunities to mentor security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related Information Technology discipline.
• 6–10 years of relevant IT experience with a solid cybersecurity foundation, exposure to security assessments and projects.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments, threats and vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
• Expertise in secure architecture design, network segmentation, cloud security, access controls, and integration of security controls.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) and governance requirements.
• Familiarity with network security technologies (firewalls, IDPS, VPNs) and emerging AI/ML in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls to protect enterprise systems, data, and operations.
• Drive compliance with security regulations, industry standards, and governance requirements.
• Support Security Operations through threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response activities.
• Lead security investigations, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to reduce risk.
• Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks through proactive evaluations and remediation planning.
• Partner with business, technology, and service teams to embed security best practices.
• Manage security vendors and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
• Foster a culture of security awareness through training initiatives and continuous improvement of processes.
