Job summary

Reynolds American in Winston-Salem is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Manager to lead our Cyber Resilience Team, guiding security strategy, risk assessments, and incident response to protect enterprise systems and data.

Reporting to the Regional Information Security Officer, you will collaborate with IT and business units, drive compliance with NIST/ISO standards, and mentor security professionals while shaping a stronger security culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related IT discipline.
  • 6–10 years of IT experience with a cybersecurity focus.
  • Experience in security risk assessments, threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation.
  • Experience with secure architecture, network segmentation, cloud security, access controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of NIST, CIS, ISO 27001 standards.

REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cybersecurity Manager in Winston Salem


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Manager to join BAT’s growing Cyber Resilience Team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's information systems and data. Reporting directly to the Regional Information Security Officer (RISO), the Cyber Manager will lead efforts in managing and enhancing our cybersecurity posture across BAT. While this position will focus on enabling business functions in the US, this position will also support global cyber initiatives. This candidate will work closely with regional IT team and business functions to help support vulnerability remediations, new technology project assessments, and cyber technology delivery. They will work closely with management and other regional cyber teams to ensure consistency across the organization.


Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related Information Technology discipline.

  • 6–10 years of relevant IT experience, with a solid foundation in cybersecurity or information security. Experience may include a combination of broader IT and cybersecurity roles, with demonstrated exposure to security assessments, technology risk, vulnerabilities, and security-related projects.

  • Experience conducting security risk assessments, identifying threats and vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and prioritizing security controls to reduce organizational risk.

  • Expertise in secure architecture design and implementation, including network segmentation, cloud security, secure communication channels, access controls, and integration of security controls within existing IT/OT infrastructures.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven professional with the ability to strengthen team performance, contribute to strategic objectives, and support the overall security mission.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex situations, make data-driven decisions, and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices, including NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, and related governance and compliance requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of network security technologies and concepts, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), secure remote access solutions, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications in cybersecurity.
