Job summary

The Tier4 Group in Michigan is seeking an experienced cybersecurity operations professional to lead end-to-end investigations, perform root cause analysis, and respond to high-severity incidents in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on security experience, proficiency with SIEM/EDR/IDS, and the ability to document findings while guiding incident response and threat hunting activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity operations experience.
• Proven experience leading complex security investigations and incident response efforts from identification through resolution.
• Strong experience conducting root cause analysis and documenting investigative findings.
• Demonstrated success performing proactive threat hunting activities.
• Hands-on experience investigating malware, ransomware, and other advanced cyber threats.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and network traffic analysis.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls and vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end security investigations and incident response efforts from identification through resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and document investigative findings for stakeholders.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify and mitigate risks before incidents occur.
• Respond to high-severity incidents in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment.
