Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Cybersecurity & Global Security Attorney in the Legal Department to serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity, information security and global security issues.

You will draft and negotiate contract terms, analyze laws across jurisdictions, and advise on incident response and crisis management, supporting senior management and global teams. You will work independently and with outside counsel to shape policy, navigate regulatory frameworks, and deliver

Qualifications

• JD degree and license to practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
• Minimum of five years post-admission legal experience.
• Knowledge of complex financial products and services.
• Ability to assume significant independent responsibility immediately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and colleague relationships.
• Experience advising on cybersecurity, information security, and global security matters.
• Conflicts of interest clearance required prior to employment.
• Experience working in large financial institution or similar regulated environment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate cybersecurity and information security terms in supplier and client contracts.
• Analyze and advise on cybersecurity and physical security regulations across jurisdictions.
• Participate in advocacy and policy efforts to shape industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on cybersecurity incident response, crisis management, and regulatory engagement.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to cybersecurity, technology controls, and global security teams.
• Identify legal issues, analyze problems, and deliver practical solutions within risk tolerances.
• Advise on global security matters, including physical and technical security, insider risk, and strategic threats.
• Exhibit excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Represent the Firm in legal matters, working independently and with outside counsel.
• Support and advise senior management on a broad range of legal and security issues.
• Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously with outstanding organizational and project management skills.
