Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Cybersecurity & Global Security Attorney to protect our firm from evolving security threats. You will draft and negotiate cybersecurity terms, analyze laws across jurisdictions, and advise on incident response and crisis management.

You will work with senior leaders and global teams to deliver practical, strategic advice on cybersecurity, information security, and global security matters.

Qualifications

• JD degree and licensing for employment jurisdiction.
• Minimum of five years post-admission legal practicing experience.
• Knowledge of complex financial products and services.
• Ability to assume significant independent responsibility immediately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
• Strategic thinker with actionable legal advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior executives.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client and colleague relationships.
• Experience advising on cybersecurity, information security, and global security matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate cybersecurity and information security terms in supplier and client contracts.
• Analyze and advise on cybersecurity and physical security regulations across jurisdictions.
• Participate in advocacy and policy efforts to shape industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Advise on cybersecurity incident response, crisis management, and regulatory engagement.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to cybersecurity, technology controls, and global security teams.
• Identify legal issues, analyze problems, and deliver practical solutions within risk tolerances.
• Advise on global security matters, including physical and technical security, insider risk, and strategic threats.
• Exhibit excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Represent the Firm in legal matters, working independently and with outside counsel.
• Support and advise senior management on a broad range of legal and security issues.
• Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously with outstanding organizational and project management skills.
