Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to broaden and strengthen core engineering functions that enable an effective SOC model, including SIEM/SOAR integration, identity and endpoint security, secure baselines, and cloud/enterprise architecture support.

The role works with IT operations, application teams, and SOC analysts in a dynamic security organization. Hands-on experience, process improvement, and strong documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SIEM engineering and detection engineering experience.
• Strong identity security understanding (IAM, SSO, MFA, privileged access).
• Automation and scripting with PowerShell or Python; SOAR familiarity.
• Experience with securing Windows/Linux, networks, and cloud workloads.
• Familiarity with CIS/DISA STIG baselines and security frameworks (NIST CSF/RMF/CJIS).
• Exposure to security operations in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Broaden and strengthen core engineering functions across SOC operations.
