Our team is passionate about building the next generation of secure Workday services using the latest cloud technologies. We partner with development and engineering teams to protect our application services, infrastructure, and data, enabling rapid and secure deployment of software.

About the Role

This position supports contracts with the U.S. Federal Government, requiring all personnel to be U.S. citizens due to security requirements. We seek a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with diverse experience to work directly with service teams, assess and design security controls, and support federal customer needs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Embedding secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles into technologies, including threat modeling activities.
2. Assessing system architecture and recommending improvements and controls.
3. Promoting a positive security mindset among partner service teams.
4. Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years in Cyber Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Public Cloud Platform Engineering.
• 2+ years with public cloud technologies, automation, and cloud-native applications (GCP and/or AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and penetration testing.
• Experience with FedRAMP High & IL4 or higher controls.
• Must be a US Citizen

Other Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate across internal teams.
• Practical knowledge of enterprise software development and developer workflows, with skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Scala, Golang, Rust, Python).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience automating security tasks and controls.
