Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to support the Space portfolio in Colorado Springs. You will analyze security of operational and development environments, assess threats and vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry and government standards.

Top Secret (SCI Eligibility) clearance is required. You will help design, implement, and refine RMF-based A&A processes, develop audit mechanisms, and collaborate with government stakeholders to meet

Qualifications

• 8 years of cybersecurity experience with RMF for secure systems
• Experience conducting security engineering analyses to mitigate threats
• Experience implementing security controls per government/industry standards
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Experience with configuration management and asset inventories
• DoDM 8140 requirements compliance (Sec+, CISSP)

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering-focused security analysis of environments to verify compliance with standards.
• Support RMF A&A processes for secure system development and sustainment.
• Develop and refine audit mechanisms to maintain security posture.
• Leverage results to drive system engineering improvements.
• Perform periodic hardware/software inventory assessments aligned with security practices.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to design and validate protective mechanisms.
