Job summary

The Judge Group seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer for a remote, full-time position. You will design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise security controls across a distributed environment, serving as a senior escalation point for security operations.

Responsibilities include leading threat detection development, incident response, and automation, with alignment to MITRE ATT&CK. Requires CISSP and 7+ years IT experience, 5+ years in security engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• CISSP or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification.
• 7+ years in IT and 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or security operations.
• Strong expertise with SIEM/EDR/XDR and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience in two areas: IAM, Vulnerability Management, Email/Collaboration Security, Cloud/SaaS, or Security Automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise security technologies (SIEM, EDR/XDR, identity, email, collaboration).
• Develop detections, threat-hunting queries, dashboards, and automated responses aligned to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Establish secure baselines, telemetry integrations, and incident playbooks.
• Lead complex cybersecurity investigations across multiple environments.
• Act as senior escalation resource for security operations and MSSPs.
• Coordinate incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Assess vulnerabilities and remediation with risk-based prioritization.
• Develop automation for security analysis, evidence collection, and reporting.
