Job summary

Nightwing in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support a government program by strengthening Linux-based infrastructure, automating tasks, and integrating cloud services for a Threat Intelligence Platform. You will help standardize patching and improve operational agility across complex environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Linux administration, TS/SCI clearance, and PostgreSQL expertise, plus a BS in a related field or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience (RHEL 8/9/10 preferred).
• Strong background in Linux engineering and PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage layers.
• Experience with general networking concepts or AWS specific networking and security.
• Must be a US Citizen with TS/SCI clearance and able to obtain DHS Suitability.

Responsibilities

• Standardize processes across multiple environments and automate tasks.
• Engineer and maintain Linux architectures (RHEL 8/9/10, AWS Linux).
• Patch management, backup, recovery, and documentation.
• Integrate cloud services to enhance patching, DevOps, and security posture.
• Coordinate with sponsors, tenants, and external vendors to resolve issues.
