Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC is seeking an analytical Linux Systems Engineer to manage and secure a Linux-based virtualization stack, supporting cyber, data operations, and intelligence missions.

The role involves production systems integration, automation, and secure application deployment across hardware, storage, and networks. 5+ years in Linux systems engineering, Python, Bash, and security expertise are required. TS/SCI eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Linux Systems Engineering experience.
• Experience with Python scripting and building applications.
• Bash scripting for automating tasks and deployments.
• Experience installing and configuring VPN services and firewalls.
• Experience with encryption (PKI) and digital certificates.
• Observability tools, logs, metrics, and tracing knowledge.
• Experience automating system administration tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud provisioning and configuration management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage software, hardware, and systems on Linux servers.
• Design, build, and maintain core services and infrastructure.
• Install and monitor Linux operating systems.
• Implement security measures and identify issues.
• Update security settings for enterprise firewalls.
• Automate vulnerability patching and remediation.
• Participate in scripting and process automation.
• Design and manage backup and recovery strategies.
