Job summary

Downtown Boulder Partnership is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to lead and implement enterprise security across IT systems, networks, and data protection. The role focuses on hands-on security engineering, policy development, and compliance with HIPAA regulations within a collaborative IT environment.

You will architect and maintain security tools, monitor risks, and guide incident response, while aligning security with business needs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Ten years of IT experience with at least five years in cybersecurity leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity required.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, CEH or Azure Engineer required.
• Experience designing, engineering, deploying security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, and vulnerability tools.
• Implement and support security controls for network infrastructure.
• Configure, administer, and secure Active Directory and Azure AD environments.
• Deploy and oversee endpoint protection and SIEM solutions.
• Manage Microsoft 365 security features including conditional access, DLP, and ATP.
• Monitor systems for security events, investigate alerts, and document incidents.
• Lead incident response efforts with the IR team.
• Administer IAM systems to ensure secure access.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and threat analysis.
• Develop and maintain security policies and standards.
• Conduct security audits to validate adherence.
