Job summary

PnT Data Corp. is seeking a Security Engineer to design and implement preventive, detective, and investigative controls. The role reports to the CISO and supports HIPAA/HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance while working remotely across the United States.

You will work with AWS, Windows, O365, EDR, and SIEM tooling to strengthen security controls, monitor incidents, and drive risk remediation metrics. Excellent communication and independent work skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on AWS experience and cloud security best practices.
• Experience designing and deploying enterprise logging and monitoring.
• Ability to triage, investigate, and resolve security alerts.
• Experience with healthcare data protection and regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls in AWS (IAM, networking, logging, encryption).
• Secure Windows and Microsoft 365 environments; manage logging and access controls.
• Maintain endpoint and network security controls (EDR, firewalls, DLP).
• Improve log collection, detection, and response using SIEM and cloud tooling.
• Support HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 compliance; assist with audits and evidence collection.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and support to implement security requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and improve security procedures and documentation.
