Job summary

SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace company, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for our Boulder, CO office. You will participate in security development, harden infrastructure, manage change processes, and support incident response to protect critical DoD assets.

Applicants must have 7+ years in system administration, network engineering, and cybersecurity, plus 3+ years in RedHat environments. DoD 8570 IAT II certification and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in system administration, network engineering, and cybersecurity
• 3+ years as a system administrator or with direct experience in RedHat environments
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification is required or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with security controls for CI/CD environments
• Familiarity with STIGs and ATO processes
• Knowledge of government compliance frameworks and secure development lifecycles

Responsibilities

• Participate in security development, configuration, and auditing at different environments
• Harden and secure program infrastructure assets
• Develop and maintain secure change management processes and documentation
• Coordinate work across multiple technical teams
• Participate in security controls related to CI/CD work
• Participate in STIG and ATO audit processes
• Create and maintain SIEM queries
• Ensure logging, monitoring, and access controls meet security requirements
• Identify and mitigate operational cybersecurity risks
• Support incident response preparation and continuity planning
• Collaborate security implementations across program teams
