Job summary

RPMGlobal seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer 3 to safeguard digital assets and lead security design, implementation, and maintenance. The role requires deep expertise in threat landscapes, incident response, and policy enforcement across complex environments.

You will work with cross-functional teams to embed security into the software lifecycle, perform risk assessments, and develop robust documentation and reporting practices for leadership and auditors.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience designing security controls.
• Experience implementing continuous monitoring and auditing for compliance.
• Strong ability to specify and implement log collection into Splunk.
• Experience analyzing aggregated logs for anomalies or risks.
• Experience applying NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, FedRAMP controls.
• Experience with IL5–IL6+ cloud, container, and DevSecOps environments.
• CISSP or equivalent certification to support DoD 8140 requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and apps.
• Develop and implement incident response plans to address security incidents.
• Collaborate with IT, dev, compliance, and other teams to enforce security policies.
• Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts to detect incidents and respond quickly.
• Investigate anomalies and security breaches to mitigate risk.
• Integrate security into all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation of security processes and configurations.
• Prepare detailed reports on security findings and actions taken.
