Job summary

KMS Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier Engineering Team at the Washington Navy Yard, DC.

You will work on mission-critical systems, blending software and hardware expertise to boost security and performance across carrier networks and platforms. Responsibilities include testing reviews, architecture documentation, RMF/ATO activities, risk assessments, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure DoD standards

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified disciplines.
• 15 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer network security.
• Experience in supporting U.S. Navy programs or operations.
• Experience in Cybersecurity/Cyber Defense engineering and management.

Responsibilities

• Review testing and validation to ensure security and compliance.
• Develop technical documentation including schematics and system architecture diagrams.
• Participate in engineering reviews, audits, and milestone meetings.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Assist PARMs in obtaining ATO for aircraft carrier systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on cybersecurity of carrier systems.
• Provide RMF support for cybersecurity in design, testing and evaluation.
• Recommend hardening solutions to improve survivability and resilience.
