Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join the on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, Virginia. The role requires an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and US citizenship.

A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity is preferred, with substantial experience in security engineering for Navy systems. Ideal candidates will demonstrate deep knowledge of DoD IA policies, cyber threat analysis, and systems engineering related to combat platforms.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems, or ten (10) years general security engineering.
• Minimum IAT Level II (or higher) per DoD 8570.01; Privileged User requirements may apply per JPAS.
• Strong understanding of DoD IA policies and ability to communicate clearly in writing and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Lead research, analysis, and coordination for cyber assurance and policy efforts across classifications.
• Lead groups to craft cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Analyze policy gaps in cybersecurity, intelligence, and IT for combat systems.
• Design and document cybersecurity system engineering for combat systems.
• Create risk assessments and mitigation plans for cyber aspects of combat systems.
• Document requirements, gap/threat analyses, and system engineering artifacts.
