Job summary

GCI is seeking a highly motivated Cyber Technical Analyst to design, implement, and maintain the organization's cyber security assurance processes, including developing security policies and procedures, conducting assessments, and monitoring the security posture.

The role involves testing, evaluating configurations, enforcing risk mitigation, and supporting government policy implementations to ensure accreditation and compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
• 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements, and analyzes/reports test results.
• Assesses systems and networks within the environment and identifies deviations from policy or local policy.
• Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
• Supports mitigation of risks and accreditation of systems.
• Assists in implementing government policies (e.g., NISPOM, DCID 6/3).
• Performs analyses to validate security requirements and recommends additional safeguards.
• Supports the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by accrediting authorities through preparations, participation, analysis, and reporting.
