Job summary

The City of Fort Lauderdale seeks a senior Information Security Manager to design, implement, and support a comprehensive information security program across Police, Fire, and SCADA networks. The role provides technical leadership and policy guidance to protect information systems.

As a supervisory role, you will manage staff, coordinate risk and vendor management, and lead incident response efforts while aligning with CJIS, PCI-DSS, HIPAA and NIST requirements to mitigate organizational risk.

Qualifications

• Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting enterprise IT security programs.
• At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Veterans’ Preference may apply; DD214 and disability documentation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements and supports secure information security architecture for the City of Fort Lauderdale.
• Provides cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and audit assessments.
• Leads cybersecurity incident response activities and coordinates remediation efforts.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
