Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Architect to lead architecture initiatives across cloud-native platforms and security controls. You will translate business goals into scalable design, mentor engineers, and drive risk-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with product teams and executives to define multi-year roadmaps, develop reusable software patterns, and ensure secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in cybersecurity architecture and 10+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience cybersecurity architecture with broad applicability.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities within work environment and strong validation habits.
• Ability to assess AI-assisted security recommendations before adoption.
• Fluent in one or more programming language(s).
• Deep knowledge of software architecture, development and processes in one or more disciplines.
• Experience solving complex architecture problems across technical domains.
• Ability to present to senior leaders and executives.
• Keeps knowledge of latest risk trends and business context.
• Experience leading a product as a product owner or manager.

Responsibilities

• Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state cybersecurity.
• Uses AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis, risk assessment and roadmap decisions.
• Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with strategy and priorities.
• Creates scalable coding frameworks on the public cloud for new design patterns.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Serves as go-to subject matter expert and drives thought leadership in cybersecurity.
• Drives reuse-first adoption of AI-assisted security validation within SDLC.
