Job summary

Defianx is seeking a CIS/Cybersecurity Specialist in Norfolk, VA, to provide secure Communications and Information Systems support across architecture, engineering, integration, cybersecurity risk management, and capability-development activities.

You will analyze requirements, support secure design, assess risks, and ensure secure interoperability with NATO stakeholders and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of cybersecurity, information-assurance, or CIS-security experience.
• Demonstrated security architecture, engineering, assessment, or operational experience.
• Strong knowledge of network, identity, endpoint, cloud, application, and data security.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity risk-management and security-control frameworks.
• Required citizenship and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cybersecurity requirements for CIS and capability initiatives.
• Support secure architecture and systems engineering.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk and technical-control assessments.
• Address identity, access, network, endpoint, cloud, application, and data security.
• Evaluate vulnerabilities, threats, controls, and residual risks.
• Incorporate cybersecurity requirements throughout design, integration, testing, and deployment.
• Support secure interoperability and information exchange.
• Review technical designs for cybersecurity implications.
• Develop risk assessments, technical recommendations, and cybersecurity documentation.
• Coordinate with NATO security stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
