Job summary

The Federal Reserve Board in Washington, DC seeks a Principal Cybersecurity Analyst to lead the instrumentation and administration of cybersecurity tools and to ensure the protection of IT assets. You will work with SIEM, firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, and security orchestration while coordinating with stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

You must have a Bachelors and 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, must be able to obtain TOP SECRET/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance, and

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity or related field and eight years of experience.
• Expert knowledge in cybersecurity fundamentals, threat analysis, data science, forensics, incident handling, and related technologies.
• Ability to work with TOP SECRET / SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION and direct multiple cyber tasks.

Responsibilities

• Directs and/or participates in implementing cybersecurity tools as part of a defense in depth with a SIEM.
• Supports threat intelligence analysis to inform threat hunt operations and investigations.
• Develops programs to analyze IT network data and identify anomalous activity.
• Manages incident response processes from identification to remediation.
