Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to protect critical software systems across water utilities and infrastructure.

You will secure the software development lifecycle, embed security controls, and lead threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure DevSecOps practices. You will partner with engineering teams to strengthen security posture, perform advanced threat analysis, and guide remediation across cloud-native environments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 6+ years of cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Experience securing SDLC, cloud-native apps and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced security monitoring and develop custom rules to detect threats.
• Lead complex incident response and root-cause analysis efforts.
• Design and execute vulnerability assessments, pen tests, and simulated attacks.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and improve secure coding.
• Review security controls for regulatory compliance and drive remediation.
• Develop threat intelligence and defense strategies; mentor junior analysts.
