Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join the Security Team in the United States. The role focuses on securing the software development lifecycle within water infrastructure projects, incorporating threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure coding practices across the SDLC.

You will partner with IT and software teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen overall security posture, while mentoring junior staff and advancing enterprise security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 6 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced security monitoring; develop custom rules.
• Lead incident response for complex events (APTs, data breaches).
• Design and execute vulnerability assessments and pen tests.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with IT and development teams.
• Review security controls and ensure regulatory compliance; lead remediation.
• Research threat actors and develop threat intelligence.
• Mentor junior analysts and build team capability.
• Support enterprise security strategy aligned with business goals.
