Job summary

Boston Government Services LLC (BGS) is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join ourWashington D.C. team. The role is hybrid, requiring on-site work in the Washington D.C. area 2-3 days per week and a full-time schedule.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in IT security with hands-on expertise in penetration testing, intrusion detection, PKI, cryptography, and cloud security. Active security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT security experience, including 3+ years in information, computer, or network security disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provides experience in information computers, or network security disciplines (e.g., penetration testing, intrusion detection and audit analysis, PKI, cryptography, assessment and authorization, cloud security solutions, or risk assessment and mitigation).
• Plans and leads major technology assignments.
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
• Possesses and applies expertise across key tasks and high impact assignments.
