The role demands strong OO programming, API integration, and experience with modern frameworks (NET/Node.js/React/Docker). Relocation support may be available in the North Alabama area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field from ABET-accredited institution.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of code security analysis experience.
• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Linux-based or security-focused certification.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through pubs/open-source/speaking.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development for security applications and infrastructure enhancements using Agile (Scrum).
• Mentor junior developers and support professional development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and drive product vision.
• Design and develop software applications to optimize company performance.
• Build scalable, reusable code repositories using OO principles.
• Identify and develop API connections for seamless integrations.
• Conduct software security assessments and penetration testing.
• Manage testing, Git version control, and commit authentication.
• Engineer secure hardware and software systems.
• Develop data pipelines for backend and IoT systems.
• Document processes, security protocols, and system architectures.
