Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Engineer to lead design, implementation, and governance of security solutions across cloud, infrastructure, and platforms. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise and the ability to guide complex projects within Regions’ Cyber Security organization.

The engineer will mentor teams, develop security metrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to align with regulatory and risk management objectives.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 14 years of related post-secondary education/experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Applicable technology certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CCNA, MCSA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME in design, implementation, and support of cyber security solutions.
• Review, design, and develop related operational processes and standards.
• Provide guidance on technical administration including troubleshooting and patching.
• Lead research, PoC, selection, and implementation of tech solutions.
• Develop metrics, controls, and governance for cyber security programs.
• Mentor team members and ensure compliance with risk management.
