Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join the Security Team. You will safeguard software systems supporting critical infrastructure by embedding security in the SDLC, detecting threats, and leading incident responses across projects.

You’ll work with engineering to strengthen controls, perform vulnerability assessments, and drive secure DevSecOps practices that align with regulatory requirements and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 6 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Willing to travel as duties require; travel frequency varies by project.

Responsibilities

• Monitor advanced security events and develop detection rules.
• Lead complex incident response including forensics and root cause analysis.
• Design and run vulnerability assessments and simulated attacks.
• Remediate vulnerabilities with IT and software development teams.
• Ensure secure coding practices within the SDLC.
• Develop threat intelligence and forward-looking defense strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts and build team capability.
