Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a Chief Cybersecurity Risk Officer (CCRO) to oversee enterprise cyber risk, reporting to the CIRO. This senior role provides independent risk oversight, challenges security initiatives, and guides leaders on critical cybersecurity issues for internal and external stakeholders.

The CCRO leads cyber risk oversight across all functions, elevates significant issues to the Board, and ensures residual risk is understood and managed, aligning with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity risk management within large financial institutions.
• Proven ability to challenge and oversee risk across technology and cyber domains.
• Strong knowledge of FFIEC, COBIT, NIST, ITIL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership for enterprise technology risk framework; define risk appetite and KPIs.
• Provide second line of defense oversight for cybersecurity risk across core tech domains.
• Chair/participate in risk committees; review policies and third-party risk.
• Drive risk assessments and monitoring; ensure regulatory alignment.
