Qualifications

• Experience reverse engineering firmware, software, or hardware-adjacent systems.
• Proficient with RE tools: Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja or equivalent.
• Strong Python and systems language (C/C++/Rust) programming.
• Ability to read assembly and reason about memory layouts.
• Experience with common embedded interfaces (UART, JTAG, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, CAN, USB).
• Ability to turn undocumented systems into structured findings and recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reviews and collaboration.
• Eligible for U.S. security clearance.
• Experience with embedded teardown and hardware debugging.
• Understanding secure boot, tamper sensing, and memory protection.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer firmware, binaries, and embedded software to understand behavior and attack surface.
• Build repeatable analysis workflows using static/dynamic analysis, emulation, fuzzing, and hardware interfaces.
• Identify undocumented formats, control flows, and update mechanisms.
• Document findings to drive vulnerability research and engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and systems teams to translate findings into actions.
• Produce writeups, diagrams, tooling, and reproducible artifacts.
• Perform board-level reverse engineering, teardown, and protocol analysis.
• Develop software to orchestrate experiments and automate hardware analysis.
