Job summary

The MITRE Corporation is seeking a Principal Cyber Intelligence Engineer to join the Cyber Threat Intelligence team at our Fort Meade site. You will lead cyber intelligence research, guide sponsored programs, and collaborate across MITRE to enhance national and global cybersecurity capabilities.

This role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph, U.S. citizenship, and at least 10 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in cyber intelligence and related fields.
• Knowledge of adversary tradecraft and cyber operations.
• Experience with U.S. government cybersecurity agencies and intelligence relationships.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated use of MITRE ATT&CK in operational environments and other frameworks.
• Familiarity with all-source intelligence databases and analytic tools.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph; U.S. citizen per gov requirements.
• Minimum four days on-site per week.

Responsibilities

• Apply cyber intelligence expertise to help sponsors solve their hardest problems, including defensive operations and threat analysis.
• Explain how cyber intelligence fits within sponsors’ missions and security programs.
• Guide sponsors in building advanced cyber intelligence capabilities and programs.
• Review sponsor tools and recommend best practices, analytics, and AI integration.
• Propose and perform R&D to advance state of the art in cyber intelligence.
• Contribute to MITRE ATT&CK to assist the global cybersecurity community.
