Job summary

GDIT seeks a Cybersecurity Analyst Principal in Reston, VA to advance national security through cyber operations. You’ll lead detection and response activities, manage IDS/IPS signatures, Splunk dashboards, and collaborate with government partners to record incidents. TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and 8+ years of experience required.

You will tune signatures, analyze alerts, mentor junior staff, and support cyber tools across missions for government customers at the vendor site.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience
• BS Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with PCRE, Yara rules and snort signatures

Responsibilities

• Lead/Manage/Support the customer cyber tool stack and implement defensive rules.
• Collaborate with government agencies to record incidents and analysis methodology.
• Provide insight to Detection and Response teams on signature functionality and tuning as needed.
• Monitor and analyze IDS/IPS alerts for false positives.
• Create Splunk dashboards and mentor less-experienced staff.
