Job summary

GEICO seeks a Senior Manager of Cyber Governance & Assurance to lead enterprise cybersecurity governance, translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls, and partner with Cybersecurity, Technology, Legal, Privacy, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit to improve compliance posture.

You will establish a governance operating model, drive measurable visibility into risk, and build a high-performing team across multi-cloud and data center environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance.
• Experience leading enterprise programs and teams.
• Ability to present to senior leadership and drive decisions.
• Strong knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid security controls.
• Bachelor degree; certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC).

Responsibilities

• Own and mature the Cyber Governance operating model with clear roles and escalation paths.
• Advise senior leaders on regulatory obligations and cyber risk; present options.
• Lead policy, standard and control lifecycle from development to refresh.
• Translate requirements into actionable technology standards and controls.
• Ensure cyber exceptions do not increase aggregated risk and address root causes.
• Identify systemic control failures and drive enterprise remediation.
• Establish governance for controls, evidence, monitoring and remediation.
• Drive control rationalization across regulatory frameworks.
• Embed compliance requirements into engineering workflows and SDLC.
• Define governance KPIs, KRIs and compliance metrics.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly reviews with executive insights and decisions.
• Maintain cyber risk records and oversee exposure remediation.
• Set priorities for continuous monitoring across multi-cloud/data centers.
• Manage all cyber issues to closure.
• Build and mentor a high-performing governance team.
• Lead resource planning, change adoption and performance management.
• Influence stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
