Job summary

Everfox is seeking a Senior Cyber Engineer to support a dedicated customer site in the DC area. The role demands hands-on troubleshooting across Windows and RHEL 8.x, with virtual host management on ESXi/Hyper-V and ongoing security remediation per STIGs.

Strong communication with customer and leadership is essential. The candidate will monitor Kubernetes via Grafana, handle firmware updates on servers and network devices, and collaborate with product teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Active TS with SCI or SCI eligibility within two years from last use.
At least one DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program certification (IAT level II or higher).
Ability to meet work authorization requirements under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Installs and troubleshoots Windows and RHEL 8.x OS on Everfox appliances.
Manages ESXi/Hyper-V virtual hosts and monitors performance.
Remediates vulnerabilities per STIGs or scans and applies firmware updates.
Provides first-line support with onsite government/contractor staff and communicates with management.
Performs health checks on Kubernetes clusters and logs for proactive issue detection.
