Job summary

ICF seeks an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to support the research and development of new cyber analytic capabilities for protecting U.S. networks and critical information systems.

The successful cleared candidate will contribute to a large federal cyber security analytic program and gain exposure to attacker techniques, vulnerabilities, and actors as part of defense initiatives. As a Senior Analyst, you will collaborate with customers, developers, and researchers to evolve,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years, OR Master’s degree with 10+ years in IT, Cyber, or related field, OR equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Cyber Security experience (e.g., Threat Hunt, Incident Response, Investigations, Technical Reporting).
• 5 years of experience using network security analysis/IDS tools.
• 5+ years of experience with packet capture and NetFlow data and knowledge of current threats.

Responsibilities

• Augment operational cyber analysts as a consultant for detection/threat hunting.
• Advise on data preparation, techniques, visualizations, and analytics.
• Assess current cyber tools usage and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Identify tools/processes to support needs and translate to functional requirements.
• Provide ad-hoc training to cyber analyst teams on tools and processes.
• Identify training gaps and approaches to improve tool and data use.
• Participate in post-engagement reviews and lessons learned.
• Communicate progress and challenges to leadership.
