Job summary

Nightwing seeks a highly experienced Systems Engineer/Architect to lead end-to-end technology mapping for threat hunt operations. You will develop workflows, diagrams, and documentation across agencies to support strategic planning, compliance, and operations.

Qualifications

We require U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.
We require the ability to obtain DHS EOD suitability.
10+ years of direct, relevant experience in systems engineering and architecture development.
Knowledge across multiple IT disciplines including systems & networking engineering, threat hunt, incident response, cloud, and databases.
Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack-mitigation methods and architectures.
Experience with SELC processes, change mgmt, requirements mgmt, traceability, and related tools.
Understanding of Government Information Security policies (or ability to learn quickly).
Ability to work across agencies and locations.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end mapping of new technology identification, requirements development, and workflows across CISA Threat Hunt.
Identify and document inputs, outputs, and dependencies for each phase of new technology insertion.
Develop visual diagrams like process flows, swimlanes, and dependency maps to show impacts.
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to validate workflows and surface cross-functional impacts.
Deliver visuals and documentation to support strategic planning, compliance, and operational readiness.
Document current-state workflows and define future-state workflows and processes.
Identify inputs, outputs, and key activities for each phase; map dependencies between initiatives, systems, and teams.
Develop end-to-end workflow diagrams and swimlane diagrams showing roles and handoffs.
Validate diagrams with stakeholders and analyze impacts on divisions or branches.
Identify gaps and recommend process or system changes; deliver final visuals to leadership.
