Job summary

Deloitte's Cyber Defense & Resilience team seeks a Palo Alto SecOps Senior Consultant to design and deploy Next-Generation SOC platforms, including Cortex XSIAM, SIEM ingestion, and SOAR playbooks. You will partner with clients to improve threat detection and incident response capabilities.

You will integrate logs, develop automated workflows, advise on use cases, and support cross-functional teams to deliver resilient security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or another technical field.
• 4+ years in cloud, network, or identity security with AWS, GCP, Azure and native tools.
• 3+ years with SOC tools and platforms, including Cortex XSIAM, Cortex XDR, Splunk, or similar SIEM technologies.
• 3+ years of SOC experience in detection engineering, automation and playbook development, SOC maturity, log source management, data normalization, data ingestion, and data manipulation.
• 3+ years with EDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Cortex XDR, or CrowdStrike, and governance, risk, or compliance work using established frameworks; Palo Alto Networks certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of Next-Generation SOC platforms, including Cortex XSIAM, advanced detection rules, SIEM ingestion, and SOAR playbooks
• Integrate log and telemetry sources to support data quality, normalization, and operational visibility
• Develop automated response workflows for incident containment and remediation
• Advise clients on threat detection use cases, automation strategies, and SOC platform capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance solutions, incorporate threat intelligence, and present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders
