Job summary

Lafayette Group Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Defense Planning Analyst to join a team supporting federal clients on national cybersecurity programs. You will help coordinate engagements, develop and implement defense plans, and translate strategic goals into actionable work streams.

Your role involves working with government and industry partners, delivering high-quality written products, and supporting meetings and data-driven planning. Hybrid in Arlington, VA, with TS-SCI clearance expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree required.
• 3+ years experience in management consulting, communications, homeland security, or a similar field.
• Existing TS-SCI clearance.
• Experience working with relevant stakeholder groups, particularly private sector cybersecurity partners.
• Experience supporting development and execution of strategic plans and translating high-level goals into actionable activities.
• Excellent oral and written communication; diplomacy and listening skills.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills; flexible problem solving.
• Ability to think conceptually and strategically and learn quickly.
• Ability to build relationships with staff at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Experience managing multiple project milestones using recognized PM practices.
• Experience developing briefing materials and analyzing large information sets.
• Ability to understand complex cybersecurity program policies and apply to projects.
• Experience contributing to oral discussions and presenting project status.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to provide hybrid in-person support (1-2 days/week) in Arlington VA.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team of Program Analysts, Managers, and SMEs to solve national cybersecurity challenges.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders; design client-driven solutions.
• Support cyber defense plans uniting partners into structured collaborative efforts.
• Implement engagement strategies to cultivate cybersecurity partnerships; plan meetings and coordinate.
• Identify and implement new project processes for greater efficiency and impact.
• Support data collection and analysis on engagement tools and strategies.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to identify themes and trends.
• Develop and deliver high-quality products meeting client requirements on schedule.
• Assist with client engagement; lead meetings, planning sessions, and data gathering.
• Develop written work products: strategic plans, assessments, reports, presentations, fact sheets, white papers.
