Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join the Security Team, focusing on securing the software development lifecycle and embedding security controls across applications that run in water infrastructure environments.

You will work with engineering and DevSecOps to detect threats, perform vulnerability assessments, and respond to incidents, while mentoring junior analysts and advancing forward-looking security strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Experience securing cloud-native workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced security monitoring, analyzing alerts and anomalies; develop custom monitoring rules to detect emerging threats.
• Lead complex incident response efforts, including forensics and root cause analysis.
• Design and execute vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and simulated attack scenarios.
• Partner with IT and software development teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen secure coding practices within the SDLC.
• Perform detailed reviews of security controls and compliance with regulatory and security frameworks; lead remediation efforts.
• Research advanced threat actors and develop forward-looking threat intelligence and defense strategies.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team capability development.
• Support development and execution of enterprise security strategies aligned with business objectives.
