Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Senior Security Administrator to protect mission-critical systems and sensitive information at our Annapolis Junction, Maryland location. This role requires an active TS/SCI CI Poly clearance and a track record of operating with minimal oversight in high-visibility environments, delivering deep technical enterprise security expertise.

You will lead enterprise security design and implementation, guide policy development, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in a security role (or approved substitution).
• Current TS/SCI CI Poly clearance.
• IAT Level II certification compliance.
• Proven ability to lead security efforts in complex, regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards, risk management frameworks, and enterprise security architectures.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a security team.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide security systems and protocols.
• Safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems per federal regulations and policies.
• Provide expert guidance on security policy development, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Operate independently on mission-critical initiatives while meeting security objectives.
• Mentor and oversee junior staff and coordinate security initiatives.
• Translate complex security requirements into actionable solutions for stakeholders.
