nou Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cyber Capability Developer in Chantilly, VA, to build and extend Python-based back-end and React front-end capabilities for forensic investigations. Location is on‑site; salary range is $140,000–$175,000 yearly.

The role involves rapid tool prototyping, developing data processing capabilities, and collaborating with incident responders to define priorities. On‑site, full‑time position requiring TS/SCI eligibility.

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Python (Django) on the back end and React (JavaScript) on the front end to support forensic analysis workflows.
• Create new processing capabilities for data formats encountered during investigations.
• Develop scripts and modules that extend the functionality of the existing forensic toolkit.
• Broaden use cases of existing cyber tools to address evolving operational requirements.
• Containerize and deploy functionality using Docker.
• Write automation scripts in Bash and PowerShell to support forensic data processing pipelines.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases that underpin forensic tool data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with forensic examiners and incident responders to translate operational needs into development priorities.

Senior Cyber Capability Developer. Full‑stack engineer building and extending Python‑based front‑end and back‑end capabilities to process diverse data formats encountered during forensic investigations. Work is priority‑driven based on operational needs, requiring adaptability and rapid delivery of scripts and functionality to expand the customer’s use cases.

Location: Chantilly, Virginia (on‑site, full‑time). Salary: $140,000.00 to $175,000.00 annually.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 8 years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 11 years, or HS Diploma with 14 years.
• Full‑stack development experience bridging front‑end UI and back‑end services.
• Ability to rapidly prototype and deliver functional tools under operationally‑driven timelines.
• On‑site, full‑time – Chantilly, Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Familiarity with SANS SIFT Workstation tools and forensic analysis workflows.
• Experience with digital forensics tools and techniques (disk imaging, memory analysis, artifact parsing).
• Exposure to incident response processes and evidence handling in law‑enforcement contexts.
• Experience with mixed vendor/platform environments (COTS, GOTS, custom tools).
• Knowledge of forensic data formats (E01, raw images, file system artifacts, registry hives, browser artifacts).
