Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Cloud Developer to design and deliver cloud service models across PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS. You will implement DevSecOps automation, assess migration needs, and ensure secure, scalable cloud environments for sensitive programs.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, US citizenship, and experience with government cloud platforms, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. The position is on-site in Chantilly, VA with a hybrid cloud focus.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain CI Polygraph (CI Polygraph).
• US Citizenship required.
• Experience with SAFe Agile framework.
• Strong understanding of cloud security requirements in government environments.
• Proficiency with AWS GovCloud, SC2S, and C2S cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks for PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS.
• Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps practices.
• Analyze applications and advise on migrations to cloud environments.
• Design strategies for failure, recovery, and cost optimization of cloud services.
• Migrate on-premises apps to the cloud and develop new cloud applications.
• Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud service policies.
• Establish secure cloud environments with high availability design.
• Work independently to design and develop new cloud software products.
• Enhance existing cloud software for performance and scalability.
• Participate in PIs and ART activities.

Senior Cloud Developer. The developer is responsible for developing cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks, implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices and supporting a robust, hybrid cloud infrastructure that provides the necessary backbone for delivering high-bandwidth services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks to enable PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS
• Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices
• Analyze applications and make recommendations for migration to cloud environments
• Provide strategies for failure/recovery and cost optimization of cloud services
• Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud
• Debug cloud stacks and manage policies for the use of cloud services
• Establish secure cloud environments and ensure appropriate availability/uptime design
• Work independently designing and developing new software products for cloud environments
• Enhance existing cloud software for performance and scalability
• Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
• Support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure seamless integration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree with 8 years of experience OR Associate degree with 11 years of experience OR High School/Diploma with 14 years of experience.
• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• US Citizenship is required
• Experience with SAFe Agile framework
• Strong understanding of cloud security requirements in government environments
• Proficiency with:
  • AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S cloud platforms
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud security implementation
  • CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments
  • Monitoring and logging solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or related field
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent) preferred
• Experience with:
  • Python, .NET C#, or other development languages
